He grew up as all Snow Elves have since the beginning. As a child he helped his family with the routine tasks of his village, while his father was off attending to his administrative duties at the village war council. As time passed it was found that Maglor developed a skill for jewelry crafting as well as ship design and, to his fathers joy, skill with the sword. Upon competent mastery of weapons he was given the name Maglor Ciryatan, "The Golden-Handed Shipbuilder," warranted for his creative abilities.

Some time later, his older brother Ringisilion, took it upon himself to challenge NuzOrz,n The Oathbreaker a Giantess that had traveled to Amtgard from Midgard across the Bifrost. She had been causing no end of trouble for the inhabitants of the area. Maglor knowing that Ringisilion, an Assassin / Wizard was no match for the Giantess caster, he attempted to talk his older brother out of the fight. But to no avail, Maglor tried to even intervene, however the fight took place due to Ringisilion casting Honor Duel on himself and NuzOrz,n. As Maglor predicted Ringisilion wasn’t a match for her in power, but the battle had weakened her to the point of death, in his rage Maglor hurled his war hammer and like Thor smote the Giantess on the spot. Maglor vowed that he would honor Ringisilions’ death by helping a member of his older brother’s cast. Latter joining in on the battles and raids of his village, Maglor soon acquired a thirst that could only be quenched by adventure. Tiring of life in the North he set off from his frost tempered woodland home for the challenge of the unknown.

Passing through the Shire of Solstice, he stopped at The Horny Dwarf, where the local militia was discussing plans to embark on a quest. Asking him if he would like to join them, Maglor accepted. After many months Maglor, decided to settle, if but for a time in the shire. Maglor soon discovered that his younger brother and one of his friends had followed him from Ailosaheim, and thus proving to Maglor his manhood in surviving the journey south. Maglor conducted a right of passage ceremony in the assembly of Solstice, gifting him the name Girithraug, a name that he had chosen to call himself during his journey, and his sword of adulthood. Time passed and a messenger arrived with message from Maglor's father to come home as he had some urgent news to discuss. Maglor left for Ailosaheim leaving his cousin Bullvine Wolfsun and younger brother Girithraug in charge of his affairs in Solstice.

Upon returning home Maglor was to find a celebration of the likes he’d never seen. He found out that his father had attained the throne of Ailosaheim, and he was the next to be the leader of his people. However, as tradition went with all of Ailosa life, Maglor would have to prove himself worthy of the task. Therefore his father, after hearing Maglor's tales of life in Solstice, decided to himself that Maglor living in the land of Solstice to be a true test of his leadership abilities. Should Maglor succeed there he would be a leader worthy of replacing him when the time came. During Maglor's time spent with his family, he received news of his adopted home of Solstice. Not all of it was good, trouble was brewing he had to go to back to the place he now called home to try and help set things right.

Households:  Solstice Jugging League (not yet formed)

Background -
Bullvine Wolfsun, a product of Ailosa Sidhe parents, his father however, was a werewolf berserker. Before Bullvine's birth, Bullvine's parents, after much travel from Ailosaheim, settled in a farming community. Bullvine was borne, and grew up with his "litter-mates" in the village. During his ninth season the village was besieged by Trolls, although his father was hailed as a hero for his contribution in driving back the invading creatures, when it was found that he was a Lycanthrope the villagers became suspicious and eventually destroyed his parents and siblings and torched their home and fields "to cleanse the land of the evil."

Bullvine survived, because of his inability to control his transformations, he was not present when the mob attacked. And quite unaware of the attack, he was in wolf form stalking a cougar. Upon returning to his home to see his family being murdered he fled and wandered for a long time, using the skills of tracking taught to him by his father the abilities of the Lycanthrope, and his unconscious transformations by the "Hunters' Moon" he lived, and half starved he was found by a travailing ranger. The ranger recognized that he was of the Ailosa Sidhe brought Bullvine to Ailosaheim.

Bullvine was brought up by the brother of Maglor’s father. In Ailosaheim Bullvine's ability to shapechange was not considered alarming or a liability, only the fact that he couldn't control it was. Even after 3,000+ years Bullvine still doesn't have full mastery of his transformations yet. Since the time he got into an altercation with his adopted parents he left Ailosaheim, now that he has left Ailosaheim behind him he has not forgotten what the non-barbarian peoples can be like. He hides his genetic inheritance by posing as a roaming Jugger, never staying in one place for to long, in hopes of avoiding prolonged exposure to any one populous and risk the chance of being exposed. His left eye has been torn from its socket, he tells a tale that it was due to a Jugging incident.  It however was really lost in a battle two centuries ago with an evil being while he was in wolf form. Bullvine has no recollection of the incident, other than haunted dreams that share a nightly presentation with images of his family being burned alive, and the fact that his eye had been ripped out during that previous night.

The Ailosa Sidhe: A Brief History
      By Maglor Ciryatan
The Ailosa Sidhe or Snow Elf, are considered to be one of the Aquatic Elven tribes, they are the Light-Elves (Liosálfar) of Viking lore that have come from Alfheim "Elf home" in the realm of Asgard to live in the northern regions of the Amtgard realm. The original Ailosa Sidhe settlers were nine in number gifted onto Heimdall by Freyr to defend the section of Bifrost that intersects with the realm of Amtgard. Being that the Amtgard realm was more ramped of threats to the Aesir than Midgard (though the Giants and Trolls native to Amtgard are of lower intelligence as compared to their living ancestors of the other realms). Their resulting settlement grew until the nine became many. The Ailosa Sidhe are basically the same as the other Elven races, however having adapted to the colder reigns, they have developed in mannerisms and appearance of their Human Viking counterparts. There by giving a false impression of being Half-Elven. Most of the Snow Elves are content to live in their ancestral homeland, however from time to time some of the Ailosa Sidhe acquire a wanderlust and wander the realm in search of their destinies.
